The Importance of Getting Published
Here at Love Well Planned, we want your potential to soar and your talent to showcased far and wide. We’re invested in your passion, your growth, your success. While our custom curriculum can and will center around your specific needs, there are several important pillars of success we can offer both insight and tactical tips to navigate the sometimes muddy waters of our industry.
One of those important pillars is getting your work featured.
Getting featured in a publication - be it regional, national, web, print, social, anything - helps fast track your exposure and introduces your hard work, and that of your vendor team to an entirely new audience and set of eyes.
During our 2019 installation of Love Well Planned, we delved into this topic two fold. On Day One | Elevating Your Brand we had an interactive style session the professional designers from Yonder House, exploring the different directions to dress your table, how to pack the most punch, what to keep in mind from a stylistic view while capturing your client’s vision. We were simultaneously joined by seasoned fine art photographer Ashley Sawtelle offering tangible tips on how to capitalize from your design with publication in mind. While it’s important to note the wedding priorities may differ from those of a styled shoot, it’s important to schedule a quick few moments with your creative team to capture those design details - from a micro and macro level - with sharing and publication in mind. Our “From the Editor’s Eye” session proved successful on how to get the best images for your clients, your portfolio and publications.
Industry Insights | Day Two of Love Well Planned offered a new perspective from the editors of Rocky Mountain Bride. This panel lifted the curtain to getting your work published, provide insight into a successful editorial collaboration and gave advice on creating inspiration that not only represents your brand, but leaves a lasting impact with a high end, modern client.
